Carbon gel is a suspension of carbon nanoparticles applied to the skin before a laser peel. It sinks into the pores and becomes the target for the Nd:YAG beam: the pulse heats the carbon instantly, it vaporises explosively and carries away debris, sebum and dead cells. At the same time the heat stimulates fibroblasts, so a carbon peel delivers both deep cleansing and rejuvenation in one session.
The gel must match your Nd:YAG laser in particle size and viscosity: too runny and it drips off instead of staying in the pores, too thick and it does not absorb in time.
