Myostimulation trains muscles with a pulsed current. Electrodes deliver impulses to motor points and the muscle contracts just as it would during exercise, but without loading the joints and spine. In 30–40 minutes the treatment produces contractions comparable to a full workout, which is why it is nicknamed “gym for the lazy” — though in practice it is primarily a tool for rehabilitation and for working with weakened muscles.
Indications: reduced tone of the abdominal, thigh and gluteal muscles, post-partum condition and diastasis, cellulite, oedema, rehabilitation after injury and inactivity, body contouring alongside lipolytic treatments.
Contraindications: pregnancy, pacemaker and cardiac arrhythmia, epilepsy, oncological disease, thrombophlebitis, metal implants and an intrauterine device in the treatment area, acute inflammation, gallstones and kidney stones, individual intolerance to electric current.
